Our amazing kitchen staff had hot chocolate ready for students upon return from the Halloween parade. Students were very appreciative to have a yummy treat to warm them up after such a cold walk.

Ava Walton, a sixth grade middle school student, presented an important lesson and message during morning announcements in the cafeteria today. She demonstrated how the harmful words that have been said to someone can never be truly erased and a bit of damage is left behind. She had us say mean things to a sheet of paper and with each mean word she crumpled it more and more. Then we apologized to the paper and she tried to straighten it out. No matter how hard she tried, she could not get the paper back to its original condition, showing that some of the mean things that are said always stay with that person even after we say we're sorry. It was a wonderful illustration on the importance of being kind to others.
Our marching band will be participating in the Circleville Pumpkin Show parade tomorrow! A big shout out to the percussion players. They won first place in Class C this past Saturday when they competed at Athens High School. They scored a 2 which is "Excellent"!
